Debate of the Year!

Another mixtape4melfi repost here. In February, four middle age Irish Times rock critics created a top 40 Irish Album list of all time. As lists go.....this one stirred up many a comment or 220 odd on the Irish Times blog. Link:

So in the Irish Times on friday 29th Feb, the below list of the best 40 albums was compiled by 4 Ticket rock writers. I found the list interesting due to a couple of exclusions and a few surprises. It is widely accepted that the Irish public would have voted Damien Rice's "O" into the top three accompanied by The Joshua Tree and Astral Weeks. I have no complaint about the choice in first place! However, no room for The Fat Lady Sings? Nine by Damien Rice? Dance the Devil by the Frames? No Duke Special, Foy Vance, The Devlins, Ann Scott, Julie Feeney .....sigh!

What's with #18?

The Stars of Heaven did not release any eponymous album, unless the Wikipedia profile of the band is incomplete.
