10. Brian Canavan/The Difference Engine

Brian released a really good debut album in 2009 .... last year he formed 'The Difference Engine' who released 'Elephant Island' a few months back. Brian writes clever engaging pop songs and is a great talent!





9. Resurrection Fern

Resurrection Fern is Bean Dolan who is also one-fifth of the most entertaining band in Ireland ... The Jukebox Gypsies. The Resurrection Fern album is folk music at it's best.

8. David Hope & The Henchmen

David Hope & The Henchmen fuse an Irish folk sound with Americana to produce a sound totally unique. David's vocals and lyrics work well over the steel guitars and banjo.

7. A Lazarus Soul

The third A Lazarus Soul album 'Through a Window in the Sunshine Room' was released in January and it's a superb album full of thoughtful lyrics and mesmerising electronic sounds.

6. Cocophone

Cocophone is a band brimming with charm and great songs. Their debut EP gained much attention from djs and the media which was well deserved. The four tracks on the EP are delicate, haunting tunes which blossom with every listen.
