Monday Under The Covers: The Devlins

Along with Duke Special's version of the Yeah Yeah Yeah's 'Maps' song I'd have to put The Devlin's version of 'I Could Never Take The Place Of Your Man' as being my favourite cover version by an Irish artist.

I Could Never Take The Place Of Your Man

The good I have heard recently that 'The Devlin's' as an entity is finished. Colin Devlin released a great album back in January called 'The Democracy of One' and has not ruled out a future album being released by 'The Devlins'.

Catch Colin Devlin live in The Sugar Club on September 11th.

Colin keeps a blogspot you need to check out over at http://colindevlin.blogspot.com/

Oh I just found this cover online from The Tony Fenton Show. Here is Colin with Peter Devlin, Emm Gryner and Fiachna O'Bréanán (Prenup, Hothouse Flowers) doing a super version of Slave To Love by Roxy Music!
