By virtue of growing up in Ireland; Irish music was everywhere around me except in my immediate family. There was more chance of finding Michael Jackson or Now LPs in my house than anything by Planxty or Moving Hearts. It meant that the first introduction to Irish music was through the few glimpses of Enya on Top of the Pops and from loving the theme tune to Robin Hood by Clannad!
