Introducing: Calico Jak

In this small country where I write about Irish artists you would have thought I'd have heard about Calico Jak who released their debut 'Ever Seen A Match Burn Twice' with a launch gig in The Button Factory last January.

Calico Jak is a Dublin-based band built around the talents of Eoin MacIonmhain. Eoin was also a member of Patrick Freyne & His Bad Intentions. The Calico Jak sound isn't too easy on the ears but there's enough interesting melodies, hooks and twists to keep me interested! Album closer 'You're Not The One' is pure bliss.
